Greenwich Hospital Debuts Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health

Monday, January 4, 2016

To better reflect its longstanding focus on health and wellness, Greenwich Hospital’s Weight Loss and Diabetes Center is now the Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health located at 55 Holly Hill Lane in Greenwich.

“The new name is significant because the mission of the Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health (CBNH) extends beyond the scope of weight and diabetes management,” said Norman G. Roth, Greenwich Hospital president. “The name reflects the full array of services that we have been providing for a long time to keep people healthy.”

At CBNH, a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals focuses on promoting health and wellness in addition to managing and preventing acute and chronic illness. “We work with patients and primary and specialized healthcare professionals to promote the psychological, behavioral and nutritional changes needed to manage and reduce the risk of complications associated with medical conditions,” said Joshua Hrabosky, PsD, the center’s manager.

Services include behavioral therapy to address the psychological, emotional and behavioral symptoms that contribute to illness; nutritional counseling to prevent or treat medical problems; weight management; and diabetes education and management. CBNH experts will continue collaborating with Greenwich Hospital’s bariatric surgery team to provide services and support patients who have undergone or are planning to have weight loss surgery.

“Our highly personalized approach features individualized treatment based on each person’s specific needs. Treatment is provided by in a safe, supportive and medically sound environment,” said Hrabosky.

The Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health accepts most forms of insurance. For more information or to make an appointment, call 203-863-2939.
