Family Lounge Areas

Lounges in the hospital offer comfortable seating areas for families and friends of patients. Stop by the Information Desk in the Atrium Lobby for directions to the appropriate lounge area.

Wireless Internet connection (WiFi) is available throughout Greenwich Hospital. Please be considerate regarding cell phone use.

Overnight Stays

There are times when a family member may wish to stay with a patient. If you feel the need to stay, speak with your nurse to discuss arrangements. It may be possible to remain in the patient's room. In special cases, we can help you arrange accommodations nearby. The Patient and Guest Relations Department will work with your nurse to meet your needs. Contact Patient and Guest Relations at 203-863-4746.

Guest Trays

If a patient asks you to join him or her at mealtime, a guest tray may be requested. Selections must be made at least two hours before the meal is served. The guest and patient trays are served when all the meals are served on the unit. The price of the guest's meal will appear as a separate charge on the patient's account. To make arrangements for a guest tray, contact the Food & Nutrition Services Department representative at extension 5211 in the hospital.

Interpretation Services

Greenwich Hospital is committed to providing healthcare information in the language the patient best understands. Our Language Line telephone service connects caregivers and patients to interpreters of more than 200 languages in less than three minutes. Language Line telephones are located in all departments. Our staff will arrange the connecting. Additionally, patients requiring an interpreter can simply dial extension 7998 from any hospital telephone. A Spanish medical interpreter is available through contacting Patient Relations at 203-863-4746.
