Our Services

Outpatient Psychiatry

The Behavioral Health Clinic provides psychiatric consultations and treatment for individuals who do not have adequate medical insurance. For eligibility questions, call 203-863-3316.

Psychiatric Treatment

The Department of Psychiatry’s board-certified psychiatrists and staff treat a wide range of mental health issues using psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of the two. Services are available for all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

The psychiatric staff are experienced in certain therapeutic treatments including:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Mind-body stress management
  • Family therapy
  • Group and individual behavioral therapy
  • Psychopharmacology
  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy

Treatment may be provided at the hospital or at the doctor’s office. Emphasis is placed on privacy and confidentiality.

Psychological Treatment

Psychologists at Greenwich Hospital are experienced in helping people overcome emotional and mental health issues that may affect their quality of life. A wide variety of therapeutic techniques are used to help patients and their families develop necessary coping skills.

Our staff includes experts in the field of psychological testing to assess emotional, cognitive and neurological functions.

All Greenwich Hospital psychologists hold doctorate degrees in psychology. They are trained in the use of traditional, as well as the newest, therapeutic and psychological testing techniques. In addition, some are involved in teaching and research, and lecture on their specialties nationally and internationally.
