Biography
Dr. Jerry Tsong is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in medical retina. He is an Attending Physician at Greenwich Hospital and Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates. Jerry has been practicing ophthalmology in Fairfield County for over 10 years. Jerry graduated MIT in the top 5% of his class with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. He attended Harvard Medical School for his medical degree. Jerry then completed his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital and ophthalmology residency at The George Washington University Medical Center, where he was named Chief Resident. Following his residency, he performed advanced training in medical retina at the world-renowned Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles. Jerry specializes in complex retinal disorders such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases, vitreous floaters, and retinal tears. Jerry has published original research in leading medical journals such as Retina and Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. In addition, he has written a book chapter on wet AMD. In recognition of his medicare care, Jerry has received multiple awards including "Patient's Choice Award," "Compassionate Doctor Award," and "Top Doctor of Fairfield County" award. Jerry is currently accepting new patients for retinal consultation and general eye exams.
