Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Close to Home

Greenwich Hospital’s new West Putnam Medical Center includes a spacious physical medicine and rehabilitation facility, featuring highly qualified therapists and state-of-the-art equipment.

The 14,500-square-foot facility at 500 West Putnam Ave. in Greenwich includes 14 private treatment rooms and an expansive area for physical medicine services, including physiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. The site also includes the Center for Healthy Living, which focuses on rehabilitation, prevention and wellness for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, peripheral vascular disease and other chronic diseases.

“All of our programs are individually designed to help patients improve their physical fitness and overall health,” said Tom Milucci, DPT, Physical Medicine program director.

The opening of West Putnam Medical Center, added Milucci, “underscores Greenwich Hospital’s commitment to bring outpatient services to the community, close to where people live and work, so they don’t need to travel great distances or visit the hospital for care.” The West Putnam Medical Center, for example, is just a mile from the Greenwich/New York border.

Greenwich Hospital also offers outpatient physical medicine services at two Stamford locations. Right on the Stamford/Greenwich town line, the facility at 2015 West Main St. provides physiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy and hand therapy. Long Ridge Medical Center at 260 Long Ridge Road offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and hand therapy.
