Great Catch winners help YNHH become a high reliability organization

Congratulations to these Great Catch winners for modeling HRO safety behaviors and taking action to improve patient safety.

great catch

Cody Freer, emergency department technician, Saint Raphael Campus, was recognized for attention to detail, practicing a questioning attitude, speaking up for safety and 200% accountability. While walking a patient who was being evaluated after a fall, Freer noticed they were experiencing leg and hand weakness. She shared her concerns with the primary nurse, who called a stroke alert. Thanks to Freer’s use of CHAMP behaviors, the patient received timely, lifesaving care
