Sept. 14 Let’s Talk focuses on mental health in graphic novels and comic books

All Yale New Haven Health employees are invited to join Veronica Bilenkin, consumer health librarian, Greenwich Hospital, for a virtual Let’s Talk session on how graphic novels and comic books that tell personal stories effectively share information about and destigmatize mental illnesses like depression and bipolar disorder. The event is noon - 1 pm Thursday, Sept. 14. Register online (Intranet/Infor). Zoom link provided upon registration. The session is sponsored by YNHHS’ Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. For more information, contact [email protected].

Stroke Center recertified

Yale New Haven Hospital has again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Stroke Center certification by demonstrating continuous compliance with performance standards. The hospital’s York Street Campus was recertified as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center and its Saint Raphael Campus was recertified as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
