Community Benefits

community benefits 2019

Every year, as part of our vital mission to promote health and wellness throughout the Greenwich area, Greenwich Hospital sponsors, develops and participates in a wide variety of community-based programs and services. During 2019, Greenwich Hospital managed $49.3 million in financial aid in-kind contributions through five wide-ranging programs: Guaranteeing Access to Care; Advancing Careers in Health Care; Promoting Health & Wellness; Building Stronger Neighborhoods; and Creating Healthier Communities. We are proud to summarize those efforts in the annual Community Benefits Report.

The core of our healthcare services is the hospital itself. For over 115 years, Greenwich Hospital has served the medical needs of the community and trained thousands of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Today, as a member of Yale New Haven Health System — which also includes Yale New Haven Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Hospital, Westerly Hospital and Northeast Medical Group — Greenwich Hospital is a distinguished institution whose 1,725 employees are dedicated to the healthcare needs of our community.
