Greenwich Hospital was the backdrop for three area couples who experienced a Valentine’s Day they will always remember.
Doctors at Greenwich Hospital delivered four babies on Valentine’s Day, including twins Shania and Elijah Adams-Francis of the Bronx, NY, Frankie Armstrong of Greenwich and Amara Santiago-Stra of New Rochelle, NY.
The newborns sported knitted red hats created by volunteers for the American Heart Association as part of American Heart Month to raise awareness of heart disease (the leading cause of death among Americans) and congenital heart defects (the most common type of birth defect in the country).
“It was a joyous occasion for everyone,” said Patricia Basciano, RN, nurse manager for Maternity.
