Greenwich Hospital names Diane Kelly as Chief Operating Officer

Greenwich, CT (March 21, 2018) – After an extensive search, Diane Kelly, DNP, MBA, has been selected as chief operating officer (COO) and executive vice president for Greenwich Hospital as well as senior vice president for Yale New Haven Health. Her appointment is effective April 30.

“Diane has a proven track record in health care administration with many years of experience in direct patient care and hospital operations,” said Norman Roth, president and chief executive officer. “She is renowned for her ability to collaborate with physicians and ensure the success of her organization.”

Kelly has been COO of Berkshire Medical Center (BMC) since 2008. While at BMC, she also served as vice president of Quality and Safety and was instrumental in developing the Patient Safety Program. Other posts included director of Patient Safety and clinical leader of the Psychiatric Unit. She began her career at BMC, working as a staff nurse on various units.

Kelly received a Doctorate in Nurse Practice from the University of San Francisco, with an emphasis on leadership and population health. A graduate of Western New England College with a Master's degree in Business Administration, Kelly earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She holds a certification as Nurse Executive and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, which only invites individuals who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and exceptional nursing achievements.

Greenwich Hospital is a member of Yale New Haven Health.
