Greenwich, CT (Nov. 11, 2021) – Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Greenwich Hospital’s ability to consistently provide an extraordinary patient experience garnered national attention with the presentation of six performance achievement awards from Press Ganey.
Greenwich Hospital received four Pinnacle of Excellence Awards for maintaining high levels of excellence over three years in the following categories: Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery; Inpatient Services; Outpatient Services; and the federal Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS). The HCAHPS is a survey for measuring patients’ perceptions of their hospital stay.
In addition, Greenwich Hospital received two Guardian of Excellence Awards for reaching the 95th percentile for an entire year in the following categories: Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery and Outpatient Services.
The awards were presented by Press Ganey, a national leader in measuring patient satisfaction.

Bridgeport Hospital makes additional investment in lifesaving prehospital blood transfusion program with help of EMS partnersBridgeport, CT (March 20, 2026) – Ten months after Bridgeport Hospital launched its lifesaving prehospital blood transfusion program, the hospital is making even more investment in the program. Bridgeport Hospital is providing new, upgraded coolers for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies to store the blood that paramedics need to administer blood transfusions directly in their ambulances at the point of care. The $40,000 investment was made thanks to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation.
