Thursday, July 2, 2026

GREENWICH, CT (July 2, 2026) - Greenwich Hospital has been recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care 2026 by Newsweek, showcasing the organization’s commitment to creating a positive, supportive environment for its employees.

This national recognition highlights healthcare organizations that excel in employee satisfaction, workplace culture and opportunities for professional growth. Greenwich Hospital’s inclusion affirms its
focus on supporting staff across all roles while maintaining high standards of care for the community.

“At Greenwich Hospital, we believe that when our workforce feels supported and valued, that translates directly into better care for our patients,” said Bob Blenderman, PA, MBA, president of Greenwich Hospital. “This honor reflects the everyday commitment of our staff to each other and to the people we serve.”

A 206-bed regional hospital, serving Fairfield County and Westchester Counties, Greenwich Hospital employs approximately 2,000 staff members and is supported by a broad medical staff across multiple specialties. In addition to its main campus in Greenwich, the organization operates a network of ambulatory and specialty sites, including a cancer center campus, ambulatory surgery center, fertility center, endoscopy center and multiple outpatient and diagnostic locations throughout the region. The hospital continues to invest in future growth, including plans to expand oncology services through the development of a Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich Hospital, bringing advanced cancer treatments and additional specialists closer to patients in the community.

Newsweek developed the America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care 2026 list in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group through one of the largest independent employee studies in the sector. Companies were evaluated across 10 dimensions of workplace satisfaction, including leadership, integrity, compensation, work-life balance, culture and belonging.

The ranking is based on a national survey conducted between April and October 2025 that collected more than 400,000 reviews from over 100,000 health care employees. Results from earlier studies were also incorporated to strengthen the analysis.

Greenwich Hospital’s recognition reflects its continued efforts to invest in its workforce and foster an environment where employees can thrive, collaborate and deliver exceptional patient care.
