Greenwich, CT – For a second consecutive year, Greenwich Hospital has received an Outstanding Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades, placing it among the top 15 percent of hospitals nationwide.
“This award reflects our ongoing commitment throughout all corners of the organization to deliver outstanding care and service every day. All of our employees – from the front-line staff to the medical teams to those who work behind the scenes – focus on providing our patients and visitors with the best possible patient experience,” said Norman G. Roth, Greenwich Hospital president.
Greenwich Hospital was the only hospital in Fairfield County and one of only two hospitals in Connecticut to be recognized by Healthgrades for outstanding patient experience. The 448 winning hospitals represent the top 15 percent in the nation for patient experience.
To make the designation, Healthgrades analyzed patient satisfaction surveys submitted by 3,858 hospitals to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The surveys covered admissions from April 2014 to March 2015. Patients use the survey to rate their care in areas such as pain management, communication with nurses and responsiveness of hospital staff.
