Thursday, September 17, 2020

Greenwich, CT (Sept. 17, 2020) – Greenwich Hospital’s commitment to provide an extraordinary patient experience has garnered national attention with the presentation of seven performance achievement awards from Press Ganey.

Greenwich Hospital received four Pinnacle of Excellence Awards for maintaining high levels of excellence over three years in the following categories: Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery; Inpatient Services; Outpatient Services; and the federal Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS).

In addition, Greenwich Hospital received three Guardian of Excellence Awards for reaching the 95th percentile for an entire year in the following categories: Patient Experience in Ambulatory Surgery; Emergency Department; HCAHPS and Inpatient Services. The time period for these awards was April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020.

The awards were presented by Press Ganey, a national leader in measuring patient satisfaction.

“We are especially proud of all of our staff in achieving these national awards even as we faced the formidable challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Norman G. Roth, Greenwich Hospital’s chief executive officer. “We are committed to consistently delivering safe, high-quality care, which has become more crucial than ever as healthcare organizations continue to respond to the current public health crisis.”

“We are honored to be part of an elite group of hospitals nationwide that are recognized for their leading edge patient-centered care,” said Debi D’Alba, director of Patient Experience at Greenwich Hospital. “These awards would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of physicians, nurses and staff from all corners of our organization.”
