Northeast Medical Group Welcomes Cardiologists to Greenwich Hospital

Greenwich, CT – This month, two leading cardiologists with extensive fellowship training – Eric M. Bader, MD and Sasanka Jayasuriya, MD – have joined the medical staff at Northeast Medical Group seeing patients at Greenwich Hospital.

Dr. Bader is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with board certifications in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. Prior to joining Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Bader earned a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center and a cardiology fellowship at Mt. Sinai St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He was chief resident of internal medicine at Albert Einstein's Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y. Dr. Bader's many published works includes the chapter "The EKG in Evaluation of Pericardial Disease" in Management of Pericardial Disease. He is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Jayasuriya is a fellowship-trained physician with board certifications in interventional cardiology, physician’s vascular interpretation, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and internal medicine. She has fellowships in peripheral vascular intervention and cardiovascular medicine from Yale University and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Arizona. She is an assistant professor of medicine at Yale University. Prior to joining Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Jayasuriya was a cardiologist at the University of Arizona Medical Center. She is a graduate of the University of Ruhuna Medical School in Sri Lanka and trained at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in New Zealand. Her published work includes serving as an editor for “Questions, Tricks and Tips” for the Echocardiography Boards.
