New Haven, CT (May 3, 2023) – Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) has been ranked 20th on the 2023 DiversityInc Top 50 Hospital and Health System for Diversity list. This recognition honors YNHHS’ commitment to excellence in the overall performance in six key areas of diversity and inclusion management: Leadership Accountability, Human Capital Diversity Metrics, Talent Programs, Workplace Practices, Supplier Diversity and Philanthropy.
“Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are essential principles in our organization that promote innovation, creativity and growth,” said Dense Morris, vice president, Inclusion, Belonging & Employee and Labor Relations, Yale New Haven Health. “By embracing DEIB, we unlock new perspectives and ideas and create a sense of belonging that empowers every individual to thrive and contribute their best work. We believe that diversity is a commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and compassionate organization that serves our employees, customers, and communities with excellence and integrity. We are grateful to have been recognized.”
Since 2001, The DiversityInc. Top 50 survey has been the external validator for large U.S. employers that model fairness in their talent strategy, workplace and supplier diversity practices and philanthropic engagement.
“With a 23 percent increase in overall participation and a 32 percent increase within the healthcare sector, these rankings are based on employer-submitted data about their organizational policies, practices, and procedures, not on employee sentiment or scraped from sources that cannot be validated. Further, with a required C-suite attestation that all data submitted is valid, these rankings also represent evidence-based, superior human capital outcomes, only achieved by data transparency and an unwavering commitment to workplace fairness for everyone,” said Carolynn Johnson, CEO of DiversityInc.
