Greenwich Hospital’s 50th annual House Staff graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the five residents and seven interns who will now enter the next stage of their medical professional journeys.
“This is a culmination of sleepless nights, impossible cases, breakthrough moments and quiet victories,” said Greenwich Hospital President Robert Blenderman, PA. “It’s also a reflection of something deeper – your commitment to medicine at a time when the world has never needed it more.”
Charles B. Seelig, MD, residency program director, and Jonathan Zimmerman, MD, the new residency associate program director and director of Ambulatory Care, shared stories of the graduates’ skills and personalities while presenting diplomas.
Graduating residents were: Miguel Mesarina, DO; Hyun Sung Park, MD; Lu Qu, MD; Devyani Ramgobin-Marshall, DO; and Nikhita Shrimanker, MD. Graduating interns were: Richard Fagbemigun, MD; Ashley Hine, MD; Eesha Khan, MD; Magdalena Palac, MD; Ariana Schanzer, MD; Jon Suzich, MD, PhD; and Diana Zarowin, MD.
Seven awards were presented at the ceremony – five for graduates who exemplified exceptional service and mentorship and two for Greenwich Hospital staff members who went out of their way to help the residents:
