Shelja Patel, MD

Shelja Patel, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician that believes in a holistic approach to patients, emphasizing both prevention and education to enable patients to take control of their own health. A Connecticut native, Dr.Patel is committed to the health and wellbeing of her patients and the community. She provides treatment of acute and chronic illnesses including anxiety, asthma, acne, diabetes, cholesterol, depression, headache, hypertension, and thyroid disease, among other conditions. Dr.Patel is also certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) and is dedicated to helping her patients with weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Patel graduated from Frank H. Netter School of Medicine in 2019 and moved on to do her residency training at Stamford Hospital/ Columbia University’s family medicine residency program, where she also served as Chief Resident.
