As an extension of Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, Interventional Psychiatry Services (IPS) at Greenwich Hospital offers alternative solutions to patients and their families when traditional psychotherapies and medications are not effective. This program is a specialized service dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients with treatment-resistant and complex psychiatric conditions.

Conditions treated include:

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders
  • Schizoaffective disorder
  • Schizophrenia

What treatments are offered through IPS?

How do I receive more information about IPS?

All patients who are being considered for treatment first need an evaluation by an IPS staff psychiatrist at Greenwich Hospital. For more information, please complete the Request for Information form. A patient navigator from IPS will contact you to review the referral and intake process. If you are a provider looking to refer a patient, please fill out the IPS referral form.
