Greenwich, CT (March 29, 2019) – Bruce McGibbon, MD, will join the Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Greenwich Hospital Campus as the new medical director of Radiation Oncology effective in July.
Board certified in radiation oncology, Dr. McGibbon is an assistant professor of Therapeutic Radiology at the Yale School of Medicine. He has served as director of Stereotactic Radiosurgery and as medical director at the Trumbull Radiation Oncology Center, part of the Smilow Cancer Hospital network. He completed his medical degree and residency in radiation oncology at UCLA and has been on the faculty of the Yale School of Medicine since 2009.
“When patients feel comfortable, listened to, and cared for, then I know that I'm really making a positive difference in their lives,” said Dr. McGibbon, who is known for caring deeply about cancer patients and their families. He provides care to patients with breast, prostate, lung, rectal, head and neck, and primary/metastatic cancers of the brain.
Dr. McGibbon will partner with Daniela Addeo, MD, who will continue her clinical practice in radiation oncology at Greenwich. Dr. Addeo, a board-certified radiation oncologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and National Association for Healthcare Quality, will join the Yale faculty as an assistant professor. Her clinical focus includes stereotactic radiosurgery, total body irradiation, brachytherapy, and treatment of gynecological, breast and skin malignancies.

Dr. McGibbon resides in Pelham, NY with his wife and four children.
