Greenwich, CT (Dec. 17, 2019) – Greenwich Hospital received five 2020 Women’s Choice Awards, recognizing it as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Breast Care, Cancer Care, Obstetrics, Bariatric Surgery and Stroke. The award places Greenwich within an elite network of hospitals committed to empowering women to make informed healthcare choices.

“These awards highlight are commitment to providing an extraordinary experience for women at every stage of their lives,” said Norman G. The hospital also was recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care.

This is the only award recognizing excellence in obstetrics based on robust criteria that considers patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. Last year, more than 2,800 babies were born at Greenwich Hospital, which also has a level IIIA neonatal intensive care unit for newborns who require specialized care.

Greenwich Hospital was named as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Bariatric Surgery for a fourth time. The bariatric surgery program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, has a high patient safety ranking by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and has high recommendation scores based on federal patient surveys.
