The main hospital campus includes the Helmsley Medical Building and the Watson Pavilion. The Smilow Cancer Hospital Greenwich Hospital Campus is across the street from the hospital. To view all GH satellite facilities, go to:

Patient Drop-Off at the Main Hospital Campus

Drivers may drop off patients at the hospital's covered main entrance and then proceed directly down the ramp to our underground parking lot.

Helmsley Parking: To access the Helmsley Medical Building, bear to the right at the bottom of the parking lot ramp. There is direct access to the first floor of the hospital from the parking lot elevator on the Helmsley side.

Watson Parking: To access the Watson Building, bear to the left at the bottom of the parking lot ramp. There is direct access to floors 1-3 from the parking lot elevators on the Watson side.

How to Register For a Procedure at GH

Your physician will arrange a date and time for your surgery or procedure. At the appointed time, you may go directly to the registration desk designated for your particular procedure. Our goal is to make all our services easy for you to access. For admitting questions, contact John Mercorelli or call 203-863-3321.

Maternity Patients

On the day you are to deliver your baby, enter through the Emergency Department (valet parking available) and proceed to the third floor Birthing Center.

Where to Register For a Procedure at GH:

1st floor

• Admitting Office
  Maternity patients will preregister online or in the Admitting Office, just off the Atrium Lobby. Additionally, patients arriving for the Addiction Recovery Center or the Sleep Laboratory must first stop at the Admitting Office.
• Lab Registration
  The Lab registration area is next to the Admitting Office.
• Diagnostic Imaging Reception
  If you're coming in for an X-ray, MRI, CT scan or cardio/neuro/pulmonary testing, just turn right after you enter the building and you will be on the Diagnostic Center corridor. Check in at the appropriate reception desk and take a seat in our lounge to be called for your appointment.
• Emergency Center Admitting Desk
  Our Emergency Center is accessed by a clearly marked ramp on the south side of the hospital. Free valet parking is available 24/7 just outside the Emergency entrance to the building. The Emergency Center is located in the rear of the hospital’s first floor.

2nd floor

• Helmsley Building: Surgery Admitting Desk 

Take the public elevator off the Atrium Lobby to the second floor registration desk (immediately to your left off the elevator).

• Watson Building: Outpatient Center (Medical/Psychiatric Clinic)
