About Pediatric Services
Greenwich Hospital Pediatric Services provide children and their families with a full range of expert medical care in a child-friendly environment. Our pediatric staff works with local pediatricians and specialists from Yale New Haven Children's Hospital to offer state-of-the-art care for newborns, children and adolescents.
Pediatric services are delivered in several areas in the hospital, including the Pediatric Unit. Our Pediatric Unit is warm and welcoming, with colorful murals and a well-stocked playroom. The specially trained staff is especially sensitive to the needs and concerns of children and families.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Greenwich Hospital’s Level III NICU specializes in the care of premature or sick newborn babies. Babies are monitored 24 hours a day by full-time neonatologists, nurse practitioners and specially trained nurses. The unit contains the most sophisticated and up-to-date equipment to treat babies with special needs.

Yale New Haven Children's Hospital Pediatric Specialty Center at the Greenwich Hospital Campus
Through Greenwich Hospital’s affiliation with the Yale New Haven Health System, our pediatric staff also includes pediatric subspecialists from Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.

The pediatric team includes board-certified physicians and nurses experienced in caring for the special needs of children. Patients have access to experts in a wide range of subspecialties, including neonatology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric urology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric neurology, pediatric hepatology and liver transplantation, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric pulmonology and pediatric surgery. In addition, the staff works with nutritionists, psychologists, therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide a full continuum of care.

Hospitalization and medical treatment can be stressful for children and their parents. Because of this, we place special emphasis on clear communications and patient support throughout the child's stay. The staff is committed to parent education and preparation so that both children and their families feel at ease and know what to expect during a hospitalization or procedure.
