Sept. 21, 2016 (Greenwich, CT) – The Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary this year donated $792,000 to Greenwich Hospital to enhance surgical, cardiovascular and other services.
The donations included $386,000 for a neurosurgical microscope, $206,000 for a medical imaging device used in surgery, and $200,000 toward a five-year pledge of $1 million to support cardiovascular services. The generous gifts were announced during the Auxiliary’s 66th annual meeting on Sept. 19.
“My deepest thanks to each and every one of you for all that you do to make our hospital a stronger and safer place for our patients,” said Norman G. Roth, Greenwich Hospital president.
To date, the Auxiliary has contributed close to $10.3 million through proceeds from its thrift shop, gift shop and annual fundraising efforts.
