Healthcare Services for Underinsured Residents

Greenwich Hospital’s Outpatient Center is an important resource for Greenwich residents who have no medical insurance or are under-insured. Each year, more than 5,000 adults and children visit the Outpatient Center and our Pediatric Outpatient Center for diagnosis, treatment and preventive care.

Our physicians and other medical professionals are committed to providing high quality services in a courteous, efficient setting. Members can access a comprehensive range of medical, pediatric, and behavioral health services at reduced fees.

Services are by appointment.

Medical (Clinic)

The Outpatient Center treats common medical needs and conditions ranging from prenatal care and child immunizations to sore throats, stomach ailments and other minor illnesses. Care is provided by a rotating team of physicians, medical residents, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals. Pediatric services are delivered in a child-friendly facility right next door to the adult clinic.

Behavioral Health (Psych Clinic)

A comprehensive range of treatment is available for adults who are suffering from emotional distress and mental illness. Services include individual, marital and family therapy, counseling for those who have lost loved ones, and treatment for psychological trauma. Medication management, monitoring and evaluation are also available.

We serve individuals with in-network insurance plans as well as those who do not have insurance and qualify for membership in the Outpatient Center.

For questions about eligibility, call 203-863-3316 between 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Our registrar will ask some preliminary questions, and a clinical social worker will follow-up to complete a phone screening.

Specialty Services

Obstetrics/gynecology, urology and other specialty services are offered on a rotating basis by experts in these fields. We can also arrange specialty care for patients in urgent situations.

Teen Clinic

Adolescents and young adults ages 14-21 can access health education, confidential counseling and support on issues that are important to them.
