Other heart health programs are offered through private counseling.

Cholesterol Measurement & Pre-Diabetic Metabolic Screening

People with metabolic syndrome, also known as the pre-diabetic state, are at higher risk for developing certain conditions that affect plaque in their blood vessels. This simple screening includes a finger-stick blood draw and measures cholesterol (LDL and HDL), triglycerides and fasting blood sugar. We also measure blood pressure and waist circumference. Immediate test results provided. Open to groups. This screening program is affiliated with the Yale New Haven Hospital Heart and Vascular Center. Call 203-863-3756. There is a fee.

Nutritional Counseling Services

Private counseling and nutritional advice for a variety of needs, including weight control, diabetes management, pregnancy and healthy eating. Find out about the nutritional value of your current diet, plus, get healthy recipes and learn how to plan healthy meals – all from a registered dietitian.
