Hospital Housing (Prescott House Apartments)

Air-conditioned apartments conveniently located a short walk from the hospital. The Prescott House offers Studio, 1BR, 2BR, 3BR and 4BR floor plans subject to inventory availability. On-site parking is free. Dogs are not permitted at the Prescott House. Other small pets may be approved by YNHHS in accordance with the Pet Policy (additional charges may apply). Greenwich Hospital and hospital-owned housing such as Prescott House are smoke free. Residents pay for utilities. Rental rates are set by the YNHHS Real Estate Department.  

Benefits

Medical and Dental Coverage

Comprehensive medical and dental insurance are offered to residents and their family as part of a flexible benefits package. Those with coverage through a spouse may select supplementary benefits to avoid overlap.

Life Insurance, Disability, Malpractice

Paid by the hospital. Disability policy is similar to that developed by Yale University and includes portability and enhanced benefits.

Meals

Meal stipend provided for conference and on-call rotations.

Travel Subsidy

$500 per month travel subsidy provided for electives at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Conference Attendance

Residents qualify for up to $1,000 paid toward an approved continuing medical education conference, an approved conference to present research conducted at Greenwich Hospital, and/or Board Review preparation courses. The Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MKSAP) is provided for categorical residents for internal medicine board review sessions.

Ancillary Services

Patient transportation and other ancillary support, including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and specially trained nurses who focus on placing IV lines, are on-duty 24 hours a day.
