Air-conditioned apartments conveniently located a short walk from the hospital are available for all residents. On-site parking is free. A pet policy limits the type and number of pets allowed at an additional cost. Greenwich Hospital and hospital-owned housing are smoke-free. Residents pay for utilities. Rent for preliminary residents is subsidized. Rent is not charged for categorical residents. The difference between market rent for an apartment and the rent paid is reported as additional income on the resident’s W2 and is subject to federal and state income tax. The result is a monthly occupancy cost significantly lower than local apartment market rent. Greenwich Hospital is a smoke-free facility.
